Catholics Women Group

Women of the parish working together to meet the spiritual and temporal needs of our members, our parish and our community in a Christian manner.

This group meets on the first Tuesday of the month during the months of September through June, at 6:30 pm on the Second Floor of Kuzy Hall.

The Catholic Women’s Group is one of the few parish organizations that not only sustains its own activities but also actively supports other ministries and groups within the Church through charitable giving. The group holds two major fundraisers each year – the Christmas Bake Sale and the Easter Bake Sale. An additional source of support comes from “Mary’s Basket,” which is passed around at each monthly meeting, allowing members who wish to contribute a donation. The funds raised are used to assist various parish ministries and charitable efforts.

The Sunshine and Welcome Committee members live out the Gospel by visiting and ministering to those who are homebound, living in assisted living centers, experiencing loneliness and hardship, or the loss of a loved one. They provide one-to-one Christ-centered care, offering emotional and spiritual support during difficult times. This ministry is often accompanied by the Prayer Shawl Ministry, which presents suffering individuals with a hand-crocheted shawl that has been blessed with prayer – offering both comfort and a tangible reminder of the community’s love and care. They send cards to sick and lonely members of our parish. When there is a funeral, members of this group attend and present a prayer shawl to the family.
