Saint George Catholic Women’s Group
The Saint George Catholic Women’s Group (SGCWG) is dedicated to providing spiritual and social support for one another and for all members of our parish and community.
What We Do
Our Sunshine and Hospitality Committee makes monthly visits to parishioners in local hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and the veterans’ home in Ivins, and provides prayer shawls and other items of comfort for the sick and bereaved.
SGCWG is part of the Southwestern Deanery of the Diocese of Salt Lake City Council of Catholic Women (DCCW), connecting us with Catholic women from Christ the King in Cedar City, Saint Christopher’s in Kanab, and Saint Paul’s in Hurricane. Each April we attend the statewide DCCW Convention in Salt Lake City and select Saint George’s Catholic Woman of the Year. We are also part of the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW).
Meetings: Kuzy Hall, 6:30 PM on the first Tuesday of each month (no meetings in July or August). Luncheons are announced in the parish bulletin—please join us!
