Religious Education

CCD — First Holy Communion & Confirmation

CCD (the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) is our parish religious-education program for children, from Kindergarten through Confirmation. Classes meet on Sunday mornings in the Scanlan Building. Our goal is not only to teach children about the Catholic faith, but to help them live it every day.

Classes

Kindergarten through Confirmation · Sunday mornings · Scanlan Building

First Reconciliation & Communion

Requires two consecutive years of CCD; celebrated in 3rd grade.

Confirmation

A two-year program, usually in 8th and 9th grade.

Our Curriculum: Be My Disciples

We use Be My Disciples from RCL Benziger, a balanced approach (invite, teach, and challenge) that helps children know and live their faith through loving service. Each week the children:

Grow in Knowledge

Build on Scripture, Catholic Tradition, and the liturgical year, year by year.

Connect Faith with Life

Relate the faith to their own experiences and commit more deeply to Jesus.

Practice Discipleship

Learn the gifts, habits, and virtues needed to follow Jesus.
