This is a unique and rewarding experience for those who volunteer to provide Holy Communion, compassion, and faith to those who are homebound or in health care facilities.

1. Training usually requires approximately two hours before you partake actively in this ministry.
2. Prior to completion of the training, you are required to submit an application for “Safe Environment Certification” (Ministry to the Sick). The fee for a certificate is paid by the parish and is effective for three years. Once the certificate is approved, notice of approval is provided to the Parish Safe Environment Co-Ordinator and the applicant.
3. The areas covered by this ministry include St. George, Ivins, Santa Clara, Washington, and Sun River. NOTE: Parish Registration is required.
4. St. George is divided into four quadrants and EMHCs are given requests that are close to their homes to ease travel requirements and duties.
5. EMHC services vary from temporary to long-term duty as required by our parishioners.
