Legion of Mary
Our Lady of Fatima Praesidium
Answer the call to serve Christ through Mary. The Legion of Mary was founded by Frank Duff in Dublin, Ireland on September 7, 1921, and is active in more than 170 countries today.
The Legion of Mary is a worldwide organization of lay Catholics seeking personal holiness through prayer and spiritual works, in union with the Blessed Virgin Mary and under the guidance of the clergy. There are two kinds of membership—active and auxiliary.
Meets weekly on Mondays, 5:00–6:30 PM, Kuzy Hall Room 1. Meetings begin with the Rosary, followed by spiritual reading and reflection, and close with planning the week’s spiritual work.
The prayer wing of the Legion—for those who support its mission through prayer. Duties are the daily Rosary and the daily Catena from the Tessera, the Legion’s prayer booklet.
