STEWARDSHIP: Gratitude in Action - Our Way of Life
Are you a youth that is looking to connect with other Catholic young people?
Living the Catholic faith in the modern culture is a difficult task for young Catholics. It is even more difficult when one attempts to do it on their own. The Saint George Catholic Church recognizes the importance of providing pre-teens and teens the support they need. The Parish Youth Ministry brings young people together for prayer, games, discussion that help them bond in friendship, while drawing them closer to Jesus.
Our Youth Group is divided into Middle School and High School. The Middle School group is composed of pre-teens (grade 6 , 7 and 8) while the High School group is made up of teens (9th to 12th grades). Both Youth Groups meet in Kuzy Hall on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. Meetings are conducted in an informal tone, but following a program from LifeTeen and Edge, and they include a mix of faith formation lessons, games and food. All these help to develop friendships, with the ultimate purpose of inspiring them to live a Christ-like life centered on prayer and the Sacraments in the Catholic Church.
