STEWARDSHIP: Gratitude in Action - Our Way of Life
The Switchpoint Soup Kitchen in St. George serves a noon meal every Monday through Friday at 1300 W 948 N . The Community Soup Kitchen is a division of Switchpoint, a stepping stone to independence for homeless individuals. For more information about the soup kitchen, visit their website at switchpointcrc.org/community-soup-kitchen/
Teams of volunteers from all over the St. George area, including service organizations, businesses, local church congregations, and youth academies, prepare and serve the meal. Members of our Parish serve once a month on the first Friday. Seven parishioners prepare and serve about 100 meals. Volunteers arrive at 9:30 AM and finish about 1:30 PM.
Before a service date, an email is sent to all interested parishioners asking for volunteers. Being on the email list does not mean you are making a commitment to serve; only that you may be interested if the timing is right.
Although this service opportuning is coordinated by the Knights of Columbus, you do not have to be a Knight to participate. If you would like more information or to be included in the email list of volunteers, email Tom Witt at thwitt@outlook.com.
Serving the hungry with love, dignity, and respect.
